Write the difference between Photosynthesis and Respiration

The exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in plants takes place by two process- Photosynthesis and Respiration. there are some difference between Photosynthesis and Respiration.

Photosynthesis and Respiration

Photosynthesis Respiration
Food is synthesized by plants using carbon dioxide and water in the process of Photosynthesis. Food is oxidized using oxygen to release energy in the process of Respiration.
Photosynthesis takes palace only in Autotrophs. Respiration takes place in both Autotrophs and Heterotrophs.
Photosynthesis takes place only in the cells of green plants that have chloroplasts. Respiration takes place in the mitochondria of all the cells of a plant.
Photosynthesis takes place only during day time. Respiration takes place during both day and time.
In the process of Photosynthesis, carbon dioxide and water required. In the process of Respiration, glucose and oxygen required.
Oxygen is released as a by product in the process of Photosynthesis. Carbon dioxide and water is released as by product in the process of Respiration.
Photosynthesis captures energy and stores it in sugar. Respiration releases the energy stored in sugars.
