The life-giving substance of the cell is called Protoplasm. It is the physical base of life. 80 percent of it is water.

What is Protoplasm?

Protoplasm is divided into two parts:  1. Cytoplasm  2. Nucleoplasm

Cytoplasm is found between the nucleus and the cell membrane, while the Nucleoplasm is found inside the nucleus.
