What is Nucleus?

Nucleus is a spherical or oval structure. It is usually found near the cell center. It is the control center of all cellular activities.

It mainly consists of four parts:

1. Nuclear Membrane: It is made of two surfaces that surround the nucleus. Each of its surfaces is made of proteins and fats.

2. Nucleoplasm: It is the protoplasm inside the cell. Protein, phosphorous and nucleic acid are found in abundance in it.

3. Nucleolus: These are spherical structures found inside the nucleus. Its number is also one or more than one.

4. Nuclear Network: It is the main body of the nucleus. It is a net-like structure in which thick particles called chromatin are found.
