What is Mutualism?

When two or more organisms of different species live together for individual benefit from the relationship, it is called Mutualism. This relationship is also called Symbiosis relationship.

What is Mutualism

This type of Mutualism between different species results in a net benefit for each species. The relationship between Clownfish and Sea Anemones is this type of relationship. Both species benefit in this mutual relationship. The Clownfish use the anemones for protection from predators. In return, the Clownfish clean the anemones of parasites provide a source of nitrogen for growth and regeneration and even help circulate the water around the anemones.
