Some plants have weak stems. In these plants the leaves are modified to form thin thread like coiled structures. These structure are called tendrils. Tendrils stretches out and twine around a suitable objects to provide support to the weak stems.

Function of Tendril

• The leaf tendrils coil help the plant to grow.
