Cell theory is a scientific theory which states that cells form the building blocks of life. Cell theory was proposed by two scientists German botanist Matthias Schleiden and British zoologist Theodor Schwann in 1838.

  • The body of every living being is made up of one or more than one cells.
  • Each cell is an independent unit, but all cells work together to form an organism.
  • A nucleus is the main worker in the process by which the cell is formed.
