Cell structure
The shape and texture of a cell is called cell structure. Cells are of different shapes and sizes like cylindrical, oval, round, vertical etc. All cells mainly consist of three parts: Cell Membrane, Nucleus and Cytoplasm.
Function
Cell Membrane: It is the outer covering of every cell that separates its contents from the surrounding medium. It is made of fat and protein. Cell membrane is a semipermeable membrane. Its main function is to control the molecular activity between the cell and the medium outside it.
Nucleus: Nucleus is an oval or spherical shape that is usually near the center of the cell. It is the control center of all cellular activities.
Cytoplasm: Cytoplasm is the gelatinous liquid that fills the inside of a cell. It is composed of water, salts, and various organic molecules.
